Webinar

Welcome

The Danish Health Authority, in collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Health and supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers, will host a webinar on the future of the primary healthcare systems in the Nordic countries Tuesday 17 November 2020.

A report titled “Primary Health Care in the Nordic Countries”, published by the Danish Center for Social Science Research will form the basis of the webinar, and its main conclusions will be presented and discussed at the webinar. The report is published Tuesday 10 November 2020. The report, which is the first of its kind, presents the results of a comparative analysis of the primary healthcare systems in the Nordic countries.

The report focuses on fundamental challenges in terms of demography, changes in hospitals, and an altered pattern of disease and recruitment when providing primary healthcare across the Nordic countries. Furthermore, the report contains a description of the ways of organising primary healthcare and new trends in primary healthcare systems.

The purpose of the webinar is to create a platform and an inspirational forum for the exchange of new ideas and solutions for the primary healthcare systems in the Nordic countries.

Central and key health actors from the Nordic countries will be debating the report and provide their perspective on how the Nordic countries can develop new solutions in the primary healthcare services that can meet the challenges faced by our healthcare systems in the years to come.

The webinar will be conducted in English and is aimed at anyone with a vested interest in the development of the primary healthcare systems in the Nordic region.
