I juli 2004 udsendte National Horizon Scanning Centre (NHSC) i England tre varsler omhandlende nye tests til påvisning af methicillin-resistente staphylococcus aureus: IDI MRSATM, Lightcycler Staphylococcus and MRSA kit for MRSA, og BacLite MRSA test for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) colonisation.
