On Tuesday a male patient was admitted to Aarhus University Hospital and tested for infection with the novel coronavirus. The suspicion was refuted earlier tonight by the test result from a sample taken from the airways that was tested at Statens Serum Institut.

”The guidelines of The Danish Health Authority were followed. This case does not change our general risk assessment and our assessment is still that the risk of the novel coronavirus spreading in Denmark is very low. We are continuously following the situation and are concluding that our preparedness system is working”, says Director General Søren Brostrøm.
