Sex

It is perfectly safe to have sex during the COVID-19 epidemic as long as you protect yourself and your partner.

Novel coronavirus infects through droplets and secretions from the airways, which are transmitted through close contact, for example kisses. There are no indications that the virus is transmitted through semen.

Protect yourself and others by:

  • Only having sex with your regular partner, or with as few partners as possible
  • Only having sex if both parties are healthy and have no symptoms of COVID-19
  • Maintaining good hygiene. Remember to wash your hands (and any sex toys) with soap and water, before and after sex and masturbation.
