One person who has been examined at Rigshospitalet, is now the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in Denmark
Rigshospitalet has analyzed and throat graft from the patient and can today confirm that the test tissue was positive for the new coronavirus, called SARS-CoV-2.

The person returned from a ski holiday in Northern Italy on February 15 and fell ill with cough, fever, etc. 3 days after his return. He contacted his own doctor yesterday, February 27, and was referred for examination at Rigshospitalet.
"Our strategy remains, that we quickly curbing the spread of infection by diagnosing COVID-19 and treating patients under isolation, while at the same time tracking and dealing with those who have had close contact with the infected," says Søren Brostrøm, Director General in the Danish Health Authority.
The hospital will be in daily contact with the person, and the Danish Patient Safety Authority has put them in isolated home-care with daily inspection. At the same time, the Danish Patient Safety Authority has been involved in locating people who may have been in close contact with the patient.
