Apply for authorization page 1 of 5

What do you have to do in order to apply for authorization?

  1. Read the following pages for information regarding the documentation you must submit. You can download an overall checklist of documentation on page 4. 
  2. Fill out the electronic application form (page 5) and press “submit application”. You will then be requested to print the application form.
  3. You will receive an email that confirms that the National Board of Health has received your electronic application form.
  4. Collect the requested documentation and make sure that it satisfies the form and contents required (page 2 and 3).
  5. Send the documentation along with a print of the electronic application form to the National Board of Health by ordinary mail. Remember to sign the application form.


Your application cannot be processed before we have received all the documentation in the correct form.

What happens in the National Board of Health?

  1. We receive your application
  2. We assess whether we have received all the necessary documentation
  3. If any documentation is lacking, you will be asked to forward this
  4. We send your application to a relevant educational institution that assesses whether your education is essentially equivalent to the corresponding Danish education
  5. We receive an assessment from the educational institution
  6. We send you our decision and return your documentation.
